Neher Remodel In Bethesda, MD

This house had the typical mid century small dark rooms.  The owners wanted an open kitchen floor plan that was inviting and functional.  We opened up the ceiling to be high vaulted like the adjacent living room and installed a wood floor to match the existing living room floor.  We installed all new cabinetry, countertops and appliances.

Guest House in Hyattsville, MD

For this project we took an existing onestory garage in the rear yard of the Widmer Remodel and converted it to living space.  The guest house now includes an all new bedroom, bath, closets, living and dining space and a kitchen.  The guest house opens to a patio area for easy access to the existing rear yard.

For this project we opened the walls of the existing kitchen to make a more spacious kitchen and on the second floor remodeled the existing bedrooms to yield one full bath and three bedrooms.  We also relocated the existing hall to the back of the house for a more efficient layout.

Cicero Remodel in NW DC

For this project, we built out a multilevel addition to the back side of this Sears & Roebuck catalog home which included a master bedroom, kitchen and basement.  To the master bedroom we included a master bath and walk in closet.  The basement gained a spacious laundry room and much needed storage space.  A pantry was built in to the kitchen with enough space for an eat in area and a cutom built marble topped island.

Howe Kitchen Remodel in NW DC

This project was a pull and replace - meaning the footprint is unchanged. The layout of the room and the location of the windows make the room not the best lit and with the dark cabinets it was a dark and heavy feeling kitchen.  The change to lighter cabinets, countertops and backsplash help to through more light around the room and ultimately lighten the feel of the space.  In addition, the glass cabinet doors on either side of the window help to lighten things as well.  We also were able to remove the soffit at the ceiling and provide for more cabinet space.  In a smaller kitchen like this every cubic inch of space that can be gained is valuable.

This kitchen was completely redone with new cabinets, countertops and backsplash. The subfloor was lowered to enable the new tile floor to be flush the surrounding wood floor.

Rex Remodel in Bethesda

This project involved the addition of a great room off the back of the house and fully remodeled kitchen.  Additional space was created on the second floor for a laundry room, an additional bedroom and an expanded master bathroom and bedroom.  The original ridge of the roof was extended up and back to accommodate a full size dormer on the rear of the top floor of the house.  This space allows for two bedrooms and one full bathroom.  The existing pool was complimented with masonry landscaping at the rear.

Guimbert Remodel in Chevy Chase

This project was almost a complete remodel. Starting from the bottom, we remodeled the basement to create a bedroom suite with exterior exit.  The kitchen was reconfigured, opening the front hallway to the living room and a mudroom was created just off the foyer.  On the second floor the master bedroom area was completely remodeled, this included creating a new stairway to the attic and a new laundry room.  Lastly, the roof was raised on the back of the house to create a bedroom space and full bathroom in the attic.
